Tranquillity Camping  is only five miles from the market town of Mayenne which has an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars, cafés, huge hypermarkets, swimming pools and sports facilities. There are several safe and beautifully maintained parks which have large well stocked children's play areas.

There are also many picnic tables and benches which are sensibly nestled under the dappled shade of the large trees, dotted all over the parks.

The quaint village of Contest is only one and a half miles away from the camp site, and although there only a few inclines on route, it is still comfortably accessible by bicycle.

The centre of the village is dominated by a catholic church which is well worth looking around. Just around the corner you will find a wood fired organic bakery, with the most fantastically tasty home made bread.

The wide, tranquil fishing river Mayenne is a five minute stroll down a leafy lane.
