About the Tranquillity Camping Park, L'Aucherie |

Our Quiet,
English Run, Privately owned camping park is set in the rural region of
Western Loire, France.
The private
site is open all the year round, but prior booking is essential.
Non-booked arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Peace and Quiet is the ultimate aim at
L'Aucherie, so we unfortunately cannot accommodate dogs, and whilst we do not
object to children, they are not actively encouraged. For example, there are
no specific play areas and they are in essence restricted to their own
emplacement. |

The site is situated in a well known
micro-climate and temperatures during the summer months range from 18C to
35C on a regular basis.
However
when it decides to rain it really rains, but not for long! It is usually
short, sharp and heavy, yet dries up within the hour. It is something that
always cheers up the gardener on the site, as watering the plants and shrubs
is always a two hour job every night. |

We have a sunny
meadow that is also available for rallies, or for individual caravans or
campers with oversized vehicles, or perhaps tents that would prefer to be on
grass.
We have a 3 bed
roomed tent for hire, with real beds and mattresses, a wardrobe, fridge,
cooker, table, chairs and all pots, pans, cutlery, crockery etc.
We also have a fully fitted caravan
for hire.

All
emplacements (or spots) are no less than 80
square meters in size - many are larger. The shape is very individual and
tastefully landscaped with shrubs, trees and flowers.
Most have an
area of hard standing or gravel for either your motor home, caravan or
garden table and chairs.

Most of the
spots have their own toilet and shower block, but for the few that do not,
there are adequate facilities on a separate part of the site. |
